– i quite enjoyed don miller’s blog post today.
so very thankful. so so very. this morning, i slept in late and woke up next to the ak. we dragged ourselves out of bed and set to work making a sweet potato & acorn squash casserole while watching zombieland. because, sure, why not? why would anyone watch macy’s parade or “it’s a wonderful life” when there’s a movie as great as zombieland to be watched.

a pickle
for seven years, i hated pickles. wouldn’t touch them. the thought of pickles—especially warm pickles—made me gag.
it’s all because i had a dream at the end of my freshman year in high school that my little sister was making pickle bread in her easy bake oven. in the dream the bread smelled awful as it cooked. i had a small sample, then had to go immediately to track...
today i am a little bit sad and i miss chicago. not my friends from chicago so much, because i still keep in contact with them almost daily. but how can you keep in contact with a city, which is just a collection of streets and noises and super-awful smells? i think chicago forgot about me and that makes me sad.
i miss the time that i was getting ready for a big dinner and i spilled tanning oil...
