Beauty Sleep
awesome stuff like this happens to the ak and i all the time. last week he was snoring really loudly so i, half asleep, started shaking him really hard to get him to stop. he stopped. two minutes later, he started snoring again. still mostly asleep, i reached over and shook him again. this time he turned right to me, put a forceful hand on my shoulder, and shook me back. it was surprising enough to make me wake all of the way up and realize what was happening. i mumbled an apology and we both went back to sleep.
the next morning he remembered none of it.
In the middle of the night I sighed while snuggling into my husband’s neck. He jerked and pushed me away. I rolled over and thought, Fine, I don’t need to cuddle you anyway if you feel like that.
He rolled over, scooped me up, and whispered, I’m sorry. I thought you were a lizard.
And we went back to dreaming our dreams.
